The mortgage firm was set up 25 years ago and was formerly called ‘Dickson Mortgage and Loans’. The original founder of the firm was a seasoned professional named Louis Dickson. He started the firm in his mid-50s and had 2 sons, Alfred and Revere. The firm was originally into wide range of regular mortgage services. 

The two sons of Mr. Louis Dickson, Alfred and Revere Dickson went on to study Mortgage and Finance and came into the business to join their father in the industry. Just before he retired about 15 years ago, Mr. Louis Dickson began to give out HECM reverse mortgages. Getting older in age and soon a senior himself, he was filled with a passion to help seniors benefit from reverse mortgages. In time more and more of their business came to be solely on senior citizens and reverse mortgage loans. 

After his official retirement 15 years ago as the head of the mortgage firm due to failing health, his older son, Alfred Dickson took control. Mr. Louis however is still a reverse mortgages counselor for the firm. Just two years after taking over, the new management decided to base their operation solely on reverse mortgage matters. This was when the name was changed to reflect the new policy and management. It was then, 13 years ago that the name of the mortgage firm became Dickson Brothers Reverse Mortgage Loans Company. The firm remains under the management of Alfred and Revere Dickson.
